Hi people :o)
I live with a passionated of paleontology (my boyfriend, I'm learning little by little about the amazing world this was ) and a pretty nice amount of fossils, specially from the oligocene (sorry if make some grammar mistakes, spanish is my language!).

I'm writing down because I've recently done a design for a tee on Threadless.
It's still not for sale...
I'll just need some votes, for being selected :o)

All if you like it, of course!!!

I would thank a lot the help...

Looking for an Artist

Posted by crumpetsfortea on 2008.01.29 at 14:55
Hey, artists! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I figured that if anyone could help me, you guys could.

I am currently working on a phylogeny/species description project of a Triassic crocodile*, and I need to commission someone to draw a life reconstruction of my ossil organism for me. I have extensive notes, specimen pictures, and can produce crude sketches of what I'm looking for, but I need someone with artistic talent to produce the final figures for my paper.

The most important part of this reconstruction is the tail and armor, so if you're not interested in that kind of work, this project probably isn't for you.

If you're interesed, I'd need a link to your portfolio, or you can email me samples of you work, and a price quote for two inked illustrations. I need all of this information before March 4th, because I'll be writing your services into a grant that I'm applying for.

Thanks a lot for any help you can give me.

*Sort-of. Sphenosuchian, if that helps any of you. :)

http://www.citv.co.uk/pp/fun-stuff/factsheets/Microraptor_gui.pdf : I want one as a pet! With good gloves (those critters have sharp sharp teeth!) and longer remiges if possible... And the poor little one has the tip of his tail a tad broken.

But Troodon sucks: http://www.citv.co.uk/pp/fun-stuff/factsheets/ . It reminds more of one of those goddamn JP raptors than something else. When will media break that goddamn scaly lizard pattern on coelurosaurs? Also the head looks weird to me.

A little doodle from yours truly. It's more an artistic endeavor than a strictly scientific one, so please, please don't come to me with comments on how I didn't count the exact number of vertebrae from type specimen such and such, because I am already fully aware of that.

The best drawn Dinosaucer art I have seen. I wish the cartoon could have been like this.

Our good ol' Archie...

It's cute!

Hi all,
Here's a photo of the new juvenile Triceratops skull if someone is interested to draw a cute young dinosaur: http://photos1.blogger.com/hello/297/8739/640/triceratopsa.jpg
There's a part of reconstruction in it.
